Mantis Ag Technology manufactures and sells automated agricultural equipment and operates a fleet of automated thinners to
provide thinning as a service to growers of vegetable row crops in 7 counties across Arizona and California. We are currently
looking for a full-time, detail-oriented research and development intern with knowledge of engineering or computer science.
Current or recently graduated college students interested in working with machine vision and automated systems are
encouraged to apply.

Job Description:
  • Assist with testing software and electronics in lab and field settings
  • Evaluate performance of new solutions in real-time applications
  • Work with software developer and R&D manager on prototype projects
  • Help set up and configure testbed platforms
  • Gather data to characterize and quantify existing problems
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required in the product development process
  • Work 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a substance abuse screening
  • At minimum, must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor agricultural setting around heavy machinery and chemical applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor a plus
  • Knowledge of C/C# programming languages a plus
  • Ag experience a plus
  • $12.50/hour

Mantis Ag Technology pairs the latest in farm equipment design with innovative vision recognition software to maximize the
efficiency of our grower/clients. Having successfully mastered automated thinning of Western vegetable row crop, our R&D
efforts are now focused on the development of an automated spray-weeder. Mantis provides these services to growers in the
California and Arizona vegetable production regions with our in-house fleet of machines. In addition, we custom build
machinery for direct sales and lease programs.
