Overview

Abile Group is seeking a RF Engineer 1 in Greenbelt, MD to support our Space Communications Network Services Contract (SCNS) with NASA. This position provides support to the NASA GSFC Spectrum Management Office in the area of frequency spectrum management and will require learning about satellite and terrestrial communications systems (including link budgets, general radio theory and basic orbital mechanics), and domestic and international regulations governing the use of the radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits.

Responsibilities
Provide support in the acquisition, maintenance, and protection of RF spectrum resources in order to ensure that terrestrial and space communications systems can operate to their fullest capacity
Work with NASA projects to develop national and international filings required to register communications systems, and perform related frequency selection analyses
Maintain information about NASA and other systems in various internal and external databases, to be used for intersystem coordination activities
Strong written and verbal communications skills, strong analytical and decision making skills
Qualifications

Clearance Required: This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

Degree and Years of Experience: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with (0 - 2 years of experience) and 1 + year of analytical and problem solving experience.

Desired Skills:
Master's degree
Experience in Spectrum Management Engineering is a plus
Knowledge of Satellite Tool Kit (STK) and/or Visualyse is a plus
