Responsible for engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with areas within the telecommunications function (e.g., network design, engineering, implementation, diagnostics or operations/user support). Monitors the operation of telecom networks and applications. Performs complex tasks relating to telecom network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations. Manages corporate cell phones and Teams PSTN.
Designs, installs and supports multi-vendor (including Avaya) IP telephony solutions across the enterprise working as a member of a virtual team. Provides consultative thought leadership to call center management and other Deluxe business partners requiring telephony solutions.
Designs and delivers call center technology solutions to enable business units to achieve their goals. Troubleshoot and resolve telecomm issues. Must be proficient in using tools to debug, trace issues to ensure root cause is identified and remediated.
Order, inventory and provision company issued cell phones
Must be able to lead projects including documenting requirements, assigning tasks, tracking status, supervising the work of others on the team, planning and executing test cases and implementation.
Prepare, review and submit orders for telecomm equipment and infrastructure following vendor policies, IT Procurement policies and OneCard procedures.
Basic Qualifications (BQs)
Education and Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Systems and 3 years of related experience or high school diploma/GED and
7 years of related experience in telecommunications and multi-platform, multi-vendor environments.
Understanding of technical considerations of VoIP implementations including QoS, bandwidth utilization, latency, jitter. Understanding of TCP/IP routing and switching protocols, WANs and LANs.
Experience with Avaya platforms such as Interaction Center, Voice Portal IVR, CMS, Advocate, Modular Messaging, etc.
Experience with general non-Avaya call center technology such as CTI, IVR, quality monitoring, Teams PSTN. Experience in installing/troubleshooting traditional telephony including T1, POTS circuits, cross connects, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Education and Experience: 5 years of related experience in telecommunications and multi-platform, multi-vendor environments.
Experience in site assessment surveys and procuring the required telephony services from carriers and other vendors.
Project management experience a plus
