If you are a mechanical engineer with a strong technical aptitude, result-oriented with the ability to problem solve, then we want to hear from you! This role is primarily responsible for designing new products and processes, conducting design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of related work experience
FEA experience is required
Solidworks Simulation is a must
Ansys simulation is a plus
Job site (Rig) experience is strongly desired
TRS applications experience is desired
Experience in an ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, design and manufacturing environment
Extensive SolidWorks experience
2D/drafting experience with SolidWorks
Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
What you’ll do:
Create and maintain engineering documents relating to product specification, design, development, prototyping, testing, verification, validation, user documentation and technical regulatory compliance
Perform 2D/3D design and modeling
Analyze designs, product life cycle evaluation, and hydraulic/pneumatic control designs
Produce designs, concepts and layouts, professional quality drawings, material specifications, structured Bill of Material (BOM) for parts, and assemblies and systems compliant to all applicable specifications and regulations
Perform certain administrative tasks required to release or revise finished designs, including ECN and ERP work
Generate process diagrams, flow charts, user documentation, graphic display of data, documented design calculations, technical regulatory compliance documentation, and other data as required by the assigned project or customer
Present designs and results from engineering activities to internal/external customers
Engineering and third-party testing
Analyze incoming order specifications & determine project lead times
Investigate technical problems, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Plan projects, and develop costing and time estimates, time schedules, and equipment and manpower requirements
Work closely with technicians in the field and shop to solve issues and improve designs on new and existing products
