WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
AET has an opening for an Engineer II in our Sioux Falls, SD office. The Engineer will focus on solving geotechnical engineering problems for area clients and should have a solid background in materials testing and subsurface investigations. Youll manage projects by designing work plans and coordinating schedules of the drill crew and technicians seeking advice from AETs geotechnical practice leaders as you continue to develop your career.

IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:
Lead testing and classifications on soil, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, bedrock, and other materials.

Prepare reports and other documentation detailing results of tests, evaluations, or analyses, including appropriate opinions, conclusions and recommendations for construction materials testing projects.

Maintain client, project team, and in-house communication during work performance.

Be a part of the team to conduct geotechnical engineering investigations; including assistance with developing field drilling and laboratory testing programs, geotechnical engineering analyses, and report preparation.

Assist in establishing project budgets and preparing and presenting proposals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field with 3 or more years of related experience OR Advanced degree with 2 or more years of related experience

Professional Engineering (PE) licensure OR Engineer in Training (EIT) certification working towards PE licensure

Outstanding communication skills to deliver technical reports and recommendations to clients while building rapport and strengthening client relationships

Hold a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record and maintain compliance with DOT driver regulations
