Position Title: Project Engineer
General Duties: Serves as the primary engineer for the design, procurement, and installation of PCC systems. Takes direction from the Project Engineer Group Lead and works in support of the Project Manager. Produces engineering deliverable packages for customers as defined by the requirements within the Purchase Order. Focused on assuring equipment safety, design consistency, efficiency, and quality through compliance with the PCC Quality
Management System. Receives technical guidance and quality control supervision from the
Project Group Lead. Operates as a committed member of the PCC team dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. Performs other duties as assigned by the Project
Engineering Group Lead.
Direct coordination with client engineering staff regarding project technical matters
Quickly elevates technical issues for quick resolution
Utilizes the Technology Group’s “Design Memo” as a guideline to perform mechanical design including:
* thermal calculations
* refractory design and selection
* structural design
* development of general arrangement drawings
* development of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
* development of fabrication drawings
* development of nozzle schedules
* development of pipe skid drawings
* development of installation drawings
* development of installation of operations manuals
* development of project Bill of Materials
* ordering of equipment
Receives, reviews, and approves vendor documentation
Reviews vendor quotes for technical acceptability and provides feedback to Purchasing
Secures “out-sourced” engineering disciplines from external resources as necessary
Navigates projects deliverables through required Quality Control events
Performs logistical and administrative duties as required to deliver the project on schedule
Team Player who – during project lulls - selflessly contributes time, talents, and expertise to support colleagues.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Work will be in PCC offices. No masks required for vaccinated employees. Unvaccinated employees wear masks when away from their desks.
