Title: Engineer, Electrical Systems - Entry Level - 69641
As an Electrical Systems Engineer for John Deere, you will develop vehicle electrical systems on Sugar Cane Harvesting equipment. You will work closely with supply management, quality, PV&V, program management, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development and continuous improvement processes.
Develop electrical systems requirements in collaboration with module teams.
Develop system level requirements and work with electrical system domain owners for Specialty Harvesting teams.
Provide build support for mule, feasibility, durability, limited production, and production builds.
Create and organize bills of materials for electrical systems on vehicles.
Release components into the John Deere production system.
Work with external (outside) and internal suppliers on components feasibility, development, and integration.

What Skills You Need
1 or more years of vehicle electrical system design and integration experience.
Experience with electrical component development, wiring harness design, schematic development, and a good understanding of the interaction between software/hardware.
Deere process experience (ECM process, Workflow, WindChill, Root Cause Analysis, NCCA).
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
Provide clear concise oral / written communication.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15%.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools and schematic software.
Experience creating and maintaining bills of material for vehicle systems.
Agriculture or other off-highway vehicle development experience and operator experience.
Experience implementing systems engineering practices.
Experience leading design work performed by remotely located team members.
Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines.
Knowledge of general product development processes, root cause analysis, 3L5Y.
Hands on Experience with electrical component and systems troubleshooting.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline (Megatronics, Robotics).
