Production Operator (Front-Half Day Shift)
Qorvo is looking for a Production Operator that will fit well into our company culture. We are seeking a candidate who is flexible, someone who can change priorities at a moment’s notice and someone who is enthusiastic about learning and growing in the Semiconductor Industry!
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working a compressed work week schedule at 12 hours each shift. Earn daily overtime every week! Compressed work week works 3 days one week and 4 days the next. Front-half day shift’s schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday day. Shift times are 6:30am - 6:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing manual operations on wafer fabrication equipment and works closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
Involves handling of chemicals, microscope inspections, running precision equipment, and processing wafers to comply with specifications and other requirements
May be required to update documentation on procedures
Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
Reads, comprehends, and follows required safety policies
Opportunity to assist process engineers, depending on skill set, in performing experimental procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of recent previous clean room, semiconductor manufacturing, or assembly work experience required
Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and lift 20+lbs is required
Demonstrates computer skills, with ability to multi task in fast pace environment
Ability to complete tasks requiring careful handling while learning through on the job training
Must be able to comprehend English language and follow written and verbal work instructions
Strong work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills
Must have solid workplace soft skills
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire, gowning up and down at least 4 days a shift, and working in a cleanroom environment
Candidate may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to hazardous processing materials
