We are seeking a Customer Service Engineer to work at our state of the art Lithium-Ion battery plant in beautiful Holland, MI. This role directly supports the OEM on projects involving failure investigations and root cause analysis, using appropriate investigation techniques and statistical methods.
The primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Engineer include:
Customer communication for all quality related topics.
Notify and coordinate process changes with customer.
Manage external failure costs.
Leading projects involving failure investigations. Root cause analysis.
Acting as a liaison between Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and the customer to facilitate effective problem solving and corrective action activities.
Utilizing statistical tools to analyze complaints and corrective actions.
Conducting follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Traveling to OEM facilities as needed, including leading containment activities.
Cultivating customer relationships.
Conducting quarterly onsite customer visits.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related
Experience in a customer-facing, project engineering, or program management related role in a highly automated and/or Tier 1 automotive environment ideal
Experience with Product Failure Mode Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
Critical thinking and an analytical mindset
Knowledge of battery systems or processes a strong plus, but not required
English-Korean bilingual skills a plus, but not required
Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
