Covestro is seeking to hire a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer at our South Charleston, WV Manufacturing site. This position will be the subject matter expert related to all rotating mechanical equipment on site.

Major Responsibilities:
Accountable for identifying and assisting in the design of mechanical capital improvement projects for unit-specific ARs
Accountable for leading investigation of mechanical failures and identifying and diagnosing through root cause analysis and FMEA for critical equipment affecting the OEE
Accountable providing the technical review for all mechanical projects
Accountable for developing PM/PDM programs for mechanical systems in the plant with effective feedback to operation units to allow for planning
Accountable for safety standards for working on mechanical systems
Accountable for providing scope of work for technical supervision of complex mechanical work
Responsible for compliance with Safety and Environmental requirements and core directives

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 6 years theoretical and working knowledge of rotating equipment
Must be able to analyze technical data and provide recommendations for replacement and/or repair
Working knowledge of statistics, computer operations, process control, root cause analysis and basic engineering principles and maintenance management systems are essential
Ability to identify and prioritize improvement projects to improve reliability to assist production units in achieving OEE.
Ability to develop detailed instructions for maintenance crafts-training

Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering degree preferred

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to manage necessary resources to meet business goals while complying with safety, environmental and regulatory standards
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of individuals from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to address and resolve technical issues
Demonstrated strong communication skills for interacting with all levels of personnel (Sr. Management/Operating Technicians)
