Jr. Mechanical Designer/Engineer:
Design innovative new products or redesign existing products to meet, exceed and excite our customers and our industry.
Participate in APQP, design concept and design review processes.
Formalize concept and designs and produce CAD models and physical models for review using SolidWorks
Own your designs thru PFMEA, DFMEA and APQP processes.
Insure compliance with evaluation, and testing requirements.
Interact with outside resources to build models, test products, and secure parts and tooling.
Interact with customers during the new-product development cycle.
Get involved with design, validation, problem-solving, and customer presentation.
Training other engineering personnel in advanced solid-modeling techniques.
Participating in cross-functional product-development teams and line-of-business teams.
Strong with SolidWorks or similar solid modeling and surfacing techniques.
Proven skills and speed in advanced CAD functions such as surface modeling and FEA are desired but not required.
Experience in the design of plastic-injection molded and die-cast components.
Ability to work within a scheduled project timeline with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel to client sites occasionally.
