As the principle owner of our labor management system, you will be responsible for ensuring that labor standards are accurate across the supply chain. With this data, you will then own the labor forecast to include financial models. In your role, you will also support the system maintenance and location setup of our distribution centers in the warehouse management systems. This position is responsible for managing and implementing all assigned projects to include capital, process, and warehouse management systems.
The Industrial Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Principle owner of labor management and budget modeling.
Identify and support continuous improvement strategies to improve speed, flexibility, and capacity in the supply chain.
Identify root cause of barriers to performance, develop actions plans to resolve, and assist leadership team in implementation.
Conduct daily interaction with team leaders and staff to provide feedback and seek input from staff on methods to impact efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Identify efficiencies and implement new standard operating processes and technology.
Support system maintenance and location setup of distribution centers.
Lead and manage facility layout changes.
Bachelor of Industrial Engineering.
2-5 years of working in a distribution environment preferred.
Ability to travel 10% - 25%.
Skilled at performing methods engineering studies (time studies and work sampling) to develop labor standards.
Must have a strong understanding of the supply chain and the systems that run them.
Must have WMS knowledge/experience (High Jump is a plus).
Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Advanced analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
Strong data analysis skills.
Strong financial and cost analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint. (Power BI, or SQL is a plus).
Functional ability in AutoCAD, Visio and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding and ability to implement 5S.
Solid training and meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to work as a team member with peers, supervisors and all levels of management.
Ability to create and use analytical models and statistical analytical tools to develop KPIs and reporting to support operations.
