A company in Burlington, WI is looking for a Automation Engineer for a 1st Shift opportunity.
The primary function of this role is to lead improvement through automation, support of existing manufacturing processes and identify/implement new technologies. The ideal candidate will be highly focused on process improvement through innovative solutions to equipment and/or processes.
The position will also create training processes for the maintenance team to be able to thoroughly support all plant equipment.
Assume responsibility for troubleshooting equipment directly or through mentoring engineers and maintenance personnel.
Oversee maintenance personnel and PM/TPM process to ensure all plant equipment is supported by an effective maintenance staff.
Capable of justifying, designing, implementing, and training all levels of employees on non-molding tooling, machine modifications and new machines.
Support the ISO 9001 quality system.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment – plastics experience preferred
Minimum 5 years of automation engineering experience. Controls engineering knowledge is a must.
Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Knowledge of Allen Bradley control units is a must.
