We are looking for a Marine Propulsion Engineer to join our A and D team on a site in Middle River, MD. This role will be part of building a large, long term program for EASi at this customer location with the opportunity to work on various projects throughout the engagement.
This is uncleared work but is part of a federal program. Applicants must be US Citizens. Medical Benefits and PTO will be offered.
Work will be remote until local stay at home orders are lifted. This resource will then be expected to work on site with the rest of the team.
The right applicant will have the following skills and experience:
-Ship Design experience – production or post-delivery
-Propulsion/Machinery Systems experience – operation, design, test, etc.
- Familiarity with torsional/vibration analysis of ship driveline/shafting systems
-Support updates to the 073-007 torsional/vibration analysis
-Familiarity with ABS NVR
-Familiarity with MIL-STD-167-1 and MIL-STD-167-2A
- Familiarity with shafting alignment and driveline load analysis
-Ability to run SKF software to support updates to the Shafting Alignment Report
-Familiarity with NAVSEA standard propulsion shafting specifications/drawings
-Support future updates to the various system flex analysis documents
-Familiarity with CAESAR II software to run existing models
-CAESAR II Shipyard
-AutoCAD including drawing creation/development
-Navisworks and Ship constructor
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Similar Degree
