- Fundamentals of Engineering
Basic Function :
An entry-level professional position, works under close supervision and review, performs engineering work on beginning level projects. Acts as liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required.
Engineering Degree in Civil or Mechanical is preferred.
Other Engineering Degree will be considered.
4 years of Engineering work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Previous work experience in an Engineering field preferably related to utility infrastructure.
Working knowledge of basic PC-based applications, including AutoCAD is desirable
Working knowledge of engineering applications associated with the natural gas industry is desirable
Must effectively articulate in person and in the written form
Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate is preferred
Under supervision, assist in the preparation of plans and specifications for meter/regulator stations, pipelines and various other construction projects.
Oversees outside engineering consultants in the process of completing design packages including relevant work orders for both extension and replacement projects.
Review and approve engineering invoices.
Assist department Engineers and Project Managers in gathering x-ray, weld map and generating as-built records for various gas transmission and distribution, meter/regulator station projects.
Performs assigned engineering and construction inspection duties in projects. Prepares studies on methods of operation and equipment, analyzes engineering data, plans construction layout
May serve as the primary point of contact during construction of Distribution and/or Transmission facilities relative to design conflicts, methods of installation or testing.
Assist in maintaining the filing system of all reference data for all maps, records and general engineering data.
Take field measurements and draft sketches as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

May need to visit contractor activity in the field
Some Business travel within territory and meetings
***Position is currently located in Folsom, NJ but will be relocating to Atlantic City in November.
