McClure Engineering is seeking qualified Mechanical Engineer to work alongside other talented engineers & designers dedicated to engineering excellence on a wide range of projects involving complex building and campus systems.

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, this position is responsible for providing engineering services and client support on a wide range of projects involving complex building and campus systems solutions.
Under the guidance of a more experienced Engineer, a Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:
Performing necessary engineering functions required for the project to include load calculations, system diagrams, sequence of operation and control diagrams, layouts, and specifications
Advising clients regarding mechanical and plumbing systems and requirements available to meet their needs and comply with building codes.
Performing field inspections to verify existing site conditions
Collaborating with the mechanical Drafter/Designer on the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
Researching commercially available equipment and selecting equipment appropriate for project/client needs
Solving problems of a complex nature in both the design and construction phases of a project.
Provide guidance to the construction team to ensure implementation of full design
Under the direction of a more experienced Engineer perform project management activities that can include reviewing and updating the budget, preparing and updating a project schedule, and establishing project communications, standards and files as necessary
Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI's)

Education and Experience
B.S.M.E. from an accredited university or equivalent experience required
3-7 years of relevant mechanical engineering design with a focus on HVAC and Plumbing systems design for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities
Experience selecting equipment and troubleshooting systems
Kn owledge of ASHRAE standards and International Mechanical Code (IMC)
Proficiency in MS Office- specifically Excel, OneNote, Outlook and Work
Relevant experience using Bluebeam and experience with Trane Trace /ESI load calculation software and energy analysis programs for LEED
Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings
