Assist with establishing and maintaining a quality system that assures Melling Products North products are world class in terms of quality.
Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources. Lead corrective action team as necessary.
Perform receiving inspection on incoming goods in accordance with procedures.
Identify and handle non-conforming products; identify visual defects and make disposition on inspected material. Complete root cause analysis on customer concerns.
Must follow detailed written and oral instructions
Performs layout of products utilizing the coordinate measurement machine (CMM), optical comparator, and various other measurement equipment and/or tools determining conformance to quality requirement.
Has a working knowledge of industry quality codes and standards.
Preparation and documentation of prototype products to customer expectations.
Aid in the development of process flow charts, control plans and PFMEA's
Preparation and documentation of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities in accordance with customer requirements.
Maintain Control Plans and FMEA's throughout the life of the part.
Write work instructions, procedures and inspection sheets in accordance with the QMS (Quality Management System)
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with four yeas or more years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing and able to participate in additional training or educational programs as related to job duties as required by the company (must establish a passing grade).
Knowledge of quality, manufacturing and inventory software, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication skills in order to clearly explain options and solutions
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
4 year(s): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with four years or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
