It’s within that context that we are seeking an Analytics Engineer focused on Analytics Architecture and Data Modeling. In this role, you will need to leverage your knowledge of data modeling best practices, data migration strategies, data architecture, and function collaboratively within a team environment.
The perfect applicant for this role should be comfortable managing multiple concurrent work streams. In addition, they should have the capacity and willingness to completely own her/his own work streams. In short, you aren’t afraid to ask for help; however, you do not require routine guidance in order to execute on your assignments.

What you’ll own:
Collaboration with stakeholders and data leaders to define and develop the analytics architecture and solution roadmap for the areas supported by the Data Insights & Analytics org
Building data models that enable business insights
Modeling from an enterprise perspective rather than from a single business function perspective
Subject matter expertise for technical guidance, solution design, and best practices within the Data Insights & Analytics org
Work with the various data teams to design/implement holistic approach to analytics architecture, pipelines, reporting, dashboarding, data exploration, processes and quality controls to enable self-service business intelligence
Process improvement via automation
Creation and implementation of standards for production-worthy data flows
Define and socialize an analytics pipeline deployment process (i.e., dev, test, prod)
Oversight of management processes related to implementation of changes in code and/or data outputs
Promotion of a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration by organizing knowledge bases, contributing regularly, and encouraging others to contribute
Using your ability as a “systems thinker” to proactively identify and transform suboptimal data, code, or infrastructure for the purpose of maximizing impact
Interfacing closely with Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, as well as other operational teams within the business to create cross-functional relationships that help with the understanding of company data needs
Experience you’ll need:
Experience with data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices
Experience with Normalized / Denormalized / Star / Snowflake / Kimball design concepts
Expertise with SQL and at least one programming language (PowerShell, Python, Perl etc.) and/or Alteryx
Strong foundation in Database Systems
Strong analytical skills with a passion for data
Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities
Experience with data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices: Experience with AWS, Hadoop, Impala or Hive preferred
Demonstrable skills building responsive data visualizations using Tableau or equivalent
