Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking an entry-level engineer to fill a Mechanical Engineering position in our Forest, MS location. This Hardware Engineering position will perform mechanical design and documentation of Antennas, RF Sensors, and supporting Electronics and Sub-systems. The candidate is expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure that overall design goals are met. The candidate is expected to have exposure with PTC Creo Parametric CAD software or other CAD tools. The candidate is also expected to have been exposed to GD&T principles, for design documentation and fabrication. The candidate will be responsible for supporting technical solutions to a wide range of problems. The candidate will work within a team, responsible for definitions of mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, and overseeing electrical layout and the technical data package which will require familiarity with CAD and drawing standards. The candidate will work under appropriate direction and supervision, while exercising some latitude in choosing the technical objectives of the assignment. The position will require frequent interaction with the IPTL, PM, and external personnel. Periodic travel may be required as needed.

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of materials or fabrication methods
Knowledge of mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings
Production support including the use of basic measurement tools
Ability to draft communications, create and deliver presentations
Able to work independently and as a team member
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of Mechanical CAD design and electronic design

Experience in the support of design and integration of mechanical products and assemblies, (internship(s) preferred).
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Mechanical CAD design and electronic design.
Ability to travel locally between sites and some remote travel.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in multiple discipline integrated product development team environments.

Desired Requirements:
Exposure with PTC CREO Parametric or other CAD design tools

Required Education:
Must have a BS / BA with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or other related field by June 2022
