Hiring a Full Time Site Safety Officer/QC Manager for a long term project in Kittery, ME.

KBE Building Corporation is currently looking for a Site Safety Officer (SSHO)/Quality Control Manager to join our team in Kittery, ME. The SSHO shall be at the worksite daily to both implement and manage the all aspects of the QC program and be directly responsible for providing safety oversight to the team. The SSHO shall also implement and administer the Contractor s Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan in accordance with federal, state, local and station requirements.

The Successful Candidates must possess:
A minimum of 10 years combined experience in the following positions: Safety, Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar size and type of contract; This is a $36M medical facility- so any medical building project experience in that value range is needed.
Familiarity with the requirements of EM 385-1-1, a must;
Experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability, also a must;
Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course and current CQM certification or received within 90 days of hire, a must.
Current 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Class or as an equivalent, 30 hours of formal construction safety and health training covering OSHA 30 topics.
Maintain Safety competency through 24 hours of formal safety and health related coursework every 4 years.
Strong background with construction procedures and practices;
Knowledge on how to read and interpret construction documents;
Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, or MS Project.
