Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM degree.
5 years of work experience in an integration, field engineering, or similar role.
Experience providing engineering support to operations teams in a factory, industrial site, or a test environment.
Experience troubleshooting functional and integration test failures that impact multiple engineering disciplines.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Networking Engineering, Physics, Math, or related STEM degree.
Experience leading projects, and/or programs consisting of integration and verification functions.
Strong understanding of overall Systems integration process.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the team.
Ability to put comprehensive test plans in place. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high visibility environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

Google's custom-designed machines make up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. The Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures that this cutting-edge equipment is reliable. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Working closely with design engineers, you give input on designs to improve our hardware until you're sure it meets Google's standards of quality and reliability.

With your technical expertise, you create test plans for highly complex platforms (e.g., validating the interaction of multiple pieces of equipment at the networking and subsystem levels), and using your deep knowledge of component design characteristics, you diagnose highly complex hardware or software issues.

You are a passionate and capable system engineer who will lead small to medium teams, designing and testing new equipment. With your technical expertise, you will create test plans for highly complex platforms (e.g., validating the interaction of multiple pieces of equipment at the networking and system levels). Leveraging your deep knowledge of system integration characteristics you will help ensure the machines can be integrated successfully in the Data Center.

Responsibilities
Design test plans ensuring platforms can be integrated seamlessly into the Data Centers.
Coordinate with technicians to set up test environments for network solutions in labs and production data centers.
Plan and execute tests to verify and validate functional and system level requirements.
Debug and root cause test failures and in-service issues.
Collaborate on new systems that push the frontier in networking technologies.
