AASKI is looking for a talented Software Engineer within our RESPONSIVE STRATEGIC SOURCING FOR SERVICES (RS3) Technical Support Services Contract. The candidate will leverage their broad Software Engineering experience to help sustain the Army's tactical networking systems including Network Modernization and Mission Network systems.
Gather requirements through engineering engagement and use case analysis
Analyze requirements and determine possible software solutions
Develop and implement solutions to problems in a collaborative and iterative team environment.
Document software solutions through sketches, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc.
Integrate tools and libraries as needed to speed development.
Consult with internal and external subject matter experts to reduce knowledge gaps.
Participate in testing of software solutions in lab environments to verify functionality.
Integrate and deploy software solutions on PdM NetMod and PdM Mission Network systems.
Perform QA/QC witnessed acceptance tests to sign off on software solutions.
Support software solutions after deployment is complete. Troubleshoot and identify bugs and develop patches.
Support periodic integration and testing of IA patches for release.
Engage customers in their use of software solutions to gather feedback for future improvements and enhancements.
Active Secret security clearance required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering required
10+ years of experience required
Must have an IAT Level II certification e.g. CompTIA Security +
Must have a Computing Environment (CE) certification within 6 months of hire e.g. CompTIA Linux +
Knowledgeable with Windows and Linux computing environments
Experience with VB.NET, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages
General computer knowledge including TCP/IP networking
Problem solving & logical thinking
Great written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies to include git code versioning
Azure DevOps/tools highly desirable
25% travel required
Must be willing to work flexible hours
