Working as a CO Engineer - Gearing Application, you will be the support person for various Mechanical Power Transmission engineering projects in Motion in Greenville, South Carolina. Reporting to the Mgr-Applic/Cust Eng, you will be responsible to answer technical phone calls from customers and provide engineering support to manufacturing, sales, and marketing. Must be able to work and communicate concepts and ideas with other engineers and designers. Must be able to maintain engineering documentation and BOM’s for standard and custom orders. Visit customer sites to resolve technical issues as needed.
This position is for an application engineer that will support Dodge mechanical speed reducers
Help create solid models of components and assemblies for custom orders
Help create part numbers and establish BOM’s
Answer customer phone calls and emails and help assist customers with product application and selection
Create and administer engineering change notices
Provide technical support to manufacturing plants
Cost reduction and product improvement projects
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field and minimum 2 years of experience working in mechanical components
Experience working with speed reducers or PT components application is a plus
Excellent project management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong business ethics
Proficient with computer skills, CAD/SolidWorks, 2+ years preferred
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
