We are a seeking a PKI Engineer who will be responsible for supporting Department of Health and Human Services and their Operating Divisions. Scope will include developing new threat analysis capabilities, operationalizing existing and new threat and vulnerability events, security breaches and/or malicious attacks while training and supporting our team and our customer. Focused on identity architecture that support Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems. Responsible for supporting the IdAM Enterprise Architect, Engineering SME, and SSO Senior Engineer in establishing and implementing standards for business, application, data, and infrastructure architectural domains. Collaboration with technical employees, partners, and other IT teams to ensure that program and project architectures adhere to the standards, target state architectures, and roadmaps.
Responsible for supporting the design, implementation, operationalization and management across all PKI related technologies and frameworks, including Microsoft Certificate Authorities, hardware and software based HSM’s, certificate lifecycle tools and frameworks
Assisting the integration of PKI based solutions into new and existing technologies and applications across the FDA enterprise
Support IdAM related stakeholders to help with solutions implementation, troubleshooting and problem management for current and future challenges and needs around PKI and authentication based systems and integrations
Support the implementation and management of PKI related tools and frameworks into Cloud based frameworks, platforms and applications
Document and maintain detailed reports on the changes and upgrades to the PKI systems
Working closely with cross-functional teams
Associate degree, with preference in cybersecurity, computer science or information systems, or 3+ years' experience in IdAM and PKI services
Relative certifications are a plus
3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity field focused on IdAM and PKI services
Experience with MS PowerShell preferred
Experience providing x509/PIV card Authentication and configuration as part of the available IdAM suite functionality
Experience providing Tier 3 level engineering support of a Public Key Infrastructure related to HSPD-12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12) program
Experience managing an Entrust, Microsoft Certificate Authorities requests, Revocation Services, X509 Certificate and key lifecycle management, smart card Personal identity verification (PIV)
Experience implementing Certificate Authorities (CA), Subordinate Certificate Authorities, Registration Authorities (RA), Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs), and Certificate Management System/Tool, Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Responders, Hardware Security Modules (HSM) in enterprise PKI environment
Experience implementing physical and logical controls in the enterprise network PKI environment in accordance with Federal, NIST and HHS guidance
Knowledge in cybersecurity intelligence and operational analysis, including research, correlation, reporting, and dissemination of classified and unclassified products
Experience using trouble ticketing systems (responding to SLA’s, detailed updates, etc.)
Experience in identity security, architecture, information technology, risk management, development, networking, business processes, privileged access control, and compliance
Knowledge of IdAM protocols such as SAML, XACML, OpenID, OAUTH, Kerberos, etc.
Experience administrating specific identity management solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
