As the Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer across our entire factory in Syracuse, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a sustained culture of Continuous Improvement at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities will be to lead, teach, coach and implement projects that lead to cost savings, higher productivity, a safer environment, reducing quality issues and improving on-time performance to our customers. Additionally, the successful candidate will coach and mentor team members and teams on their continuous improvement projects and monitor all Lean and 6 Sigma projects and quantifying the company wide profit improvement projects. Lean tools such as 6S, value stream mapping, error proofing, Kaizen events, visual management, standard work, and workplace design and layout will be utilized. This position will be in support of radar and sonar sensor products.
Certified Black Belt.
Product Flow experience.
Experience with Lean Transformations.
Manufacturing and/or process engineering experience in a production environment.
Ability to instruct others in Flow and Lean principles.
Mechanical or Industrial engineering background.
Proficient in creating and delivering engaging presentations to all levels of the business.
Qualified candidate must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship.

Engineering background sufficient to develop and design unique tools, jigs, and fixtures in production environment.
3D solid modeling.
Solidworks and/or Creo/Windchill/EPDM experience.
3D printing/Additive Manufacturing experience.
