The Offshore Design Coordinator is responsible for the JBPCO Offshore Design Engineering Team Management, Communications, Work Management, and Engineering Accuracy. Using SolidWorks, PDM, CADLink, and other Morgan Olson tools., the Offshore Design Coordinator will ensure that work produced Offshore (Models, Assemblies, and Drawings) is accurate and comprehensive. The Offshore Design Coordinator will lead design reviews internally, as well as process ECOs as required by the work done offshore.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for offshore shared services team and resolve the issues related to work on daily basis and should also guide the offshore team with any requirements.
  • Plan and manage offshore shared services workload and will be responsible for the timely and quality deliverables.
  • Create 3D Models, Assemblies, and Installation for new concept development work.
  • Author Engineering Change Orders as needed for release and modification of CAD and ERP data.
  • Use CADLink to ensure that SolidWorks/PDM Data is in sync with JDE ERP data.
  • Conduct Model and Design Reviews to ensure 3D design meets Sales and Engineering Requirements.
  • Create designs and detail drawings independently or along with a team of engineers and designers, using SolidWorks software.
  • Process Engineering Change Orders as required to maintain CAD and JDE data.
  • Check Offshore work and ensure it meets Morgan Olson Design Standards and is accurate to the requirements.
  • Track and report on-time and accuracy KPIs.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Engineering REQUIRED.
  • 5+ Years of Design/CAD experience REQUIRED.
  • 3+ Years managing offshore Design Engineers REQUIRED.
  • 3+ Years of recent SolidWorks experience REQUIRED.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be fluent with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work off-hours as needed.
  • United States Work Authorization required.
  • Work Location: Sturgis, Michigan.
