JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedule and supervise the work of employees of theMaintenance Department to insure complete, accurate, and efficient work, andfollow Company EEO policy in the employment, training and supervising of theemployees.
Maintain facility and equipment in a safe andoperational state of readiness at all times in order to fulfill dailyproduction requirements.
Operate engineering department and staffing withinestablished safety guidelines.
Coordinate standardized preventive maintenance programto include lubrication inspections and engineering sanitation schedules tominimize production down time.
Maintain engineering shop and equipment required toperform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance for entire facility.
Manage capital expenditure projects to insure timelycompletion within budgetary guidelines in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
Responsible for the selection, training and developmentnecessary to maintain a knowledgeable, experienced and productive engineeringstaff.
Knowledgeable of the fundamentals of Safety andSanitation as outlined in Company, BRC, and governmental standards.
Establish and maintain effective working relationshipsand two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout theCompany.
Participate in all Department staff meetings/ safety (OSHA/HIOSH)/sanitationinspections as required;
Conduct daily inspection of all bakery equipment andbuilding facilities and instruct subordinates of all necessary adjustments andrepairs.
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to communicate both written and verballyto all levels of the bakery.
Any and all duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Education: High School or better, plus technicaltraining or certification
Experience: 5 to 7 years management & manufacturingwork experience
SpecializedSkills: Electrical and mechanicalmaintenance
Computer-i.e. PLCand personal computer for maintenance
Software;welding; refrigeration; boiler; hydraulic; bakery
