As a Motorsport Software Engineer within the Bosch Motorsport team, you will be responsible for the following:
Software development and application for assigned projects as a part of a global team
Interface with software development team in Germany to ensure worldwide alignment of software application and development topics
Creation and monitoring of software development timelines to ensure on-time delivery
Production tester software development and maintenance to ensure robust test and manufacturing capability
Adherence to applicable software and product development processes to ensure expected high product quality
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both component and system issues related to software implementation of Motorsport products in end use applications
Integration of continuous improvement practices into daily work to improve performance, timing, cost, and quality
Opportunity to expand role in additional product areas outside of software development, such as project management
Opportunity to provide application support of Motorsport products on-site at customer, track, other development sites
Domestic and international travel up to 20% per year (20-30 days/year), including 2-4 weeks in Germany for integration into global software team
BS in Engineering or Computer Science
1+ years of programming experience
BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
1+ years software development and engineering experience in automotive or embedded systems environment
1+ years of hands-on Motorsport experience (i.e. industry, FSAE)
Experience with modeling and simulation (i.e. Matlab/Simulink)
Experience with scripting (i.e. Python)
Experience with real-time operating systems (i.e. VXWorks)
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Ethernet)
Experience with test tools (i.e. Vector tools, dSPACE products, oscilloscopes)
Experience with network and Cloud technologies
Ability to comprehend electrical schematics to debug software and electrical issues
Alignment to team culture of passion and performance, entrepreneurialism and innovation, communication, and balance
Experience in analytical thinking and creative problem solving
Experience in being responsible for own work products and working independently
Passion for learning new skills and applying to Motorsport projects with aggressive timing plans
German language skills
