Teradyne is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Titan System-Level Test group in the design of Automated Testing Systems for IC’s. This group is part of our semiconductor test organization, testing the world’s leading commercial devices. The role is located at our Corporate Headquarters in North Reading MA.

What you will be responsible for:
Design of metal support structures to house the test equipment
Design of custom plastic injection molded components
Design of automated machinery to transport components within the test system
Tolerance analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure proper function and assembly
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of critical assemblies and parts to ensure material strength in application
Thermal analysis and component design to ensure sufficient cooling of electronics
Packaging of electronics, computers, and PCBAs
Cable routing and cable harness design
Executing good Design For Manufacturing practices to achieve cost and service objectives
Detailed drawing creation and documentation releases
Use of ASME and GD&T drawing standards and practices
As part of the engineering team, you will work in a multi-discipline team alongside software, electrical, automation, manufacturing and field service engineers to develop our new products. Some travel abroad may be required to support new equipment installations and integration with manufacturing partners in Asia.
3-5 Years Minimum experience
Self Motivated individual
Project experience with mechatronics
Hands-on problem solving experience
Solidworks CAD
Strong communication and team work skills
