We have a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity for a Product Development Engineer who has experience in materials selection and process development! This person will be working in our Research and Development group within Philips Healthcare, located on our Reedsville, PA facility. This person will get to work with the best engineers in medical ultrasound and develop ultrasound transducers that are helping to save lives every day all around the world.
We are looking for a Process Development Engineer with a passion for technology and personal growth to provide process development and materials selection input to medical ultrasound transducer development projects. As part of a multi-disciplined product development team you will be helping to bring leading edge medical ultrasound products to market and help to improve healthcare worldwide.
Lead Development Teams through materials, plating and adhesive system selection to support assigned project teams.
Provide data and reports for the successful completion of materials testing into our Product Development Process.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Understanding or Experience in Product Development, and Physical Chemistry Analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development and tooling development
- A self-starter, highly motivated with good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with statistics and Design of Experiment
- Experience with compact electronic devices (advanced microelectronic packaging a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, vendors and engineers from different disciplines
Excellent team player that works effectively with cross functional and cross site teams
Proficient in using MS Office suite, and Minitab. A working knowledge of MATLAB is a plus.
Process Development Engineers in Philips Ultrasound Transducer Research and Development work within a Product Development environment that provides Transducer products for use in Medical Ultrasound Imaging. Our Reedsville, PA office is part of Philips Ultrasound and Imaging Systems under Royal Philips Electronics. We have Product Development across 3 locations in the USA, as well as multiple locations around the world.
