The Network Engineer position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and process creation. The successful applicant will be part of a team, working with other network engineers and collaborating with systems engineers and developers. Responsibilities include network device programming in support of district instructional and operational functions.
Specifics include planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, documentation, and trouble-shooting for the wired and wireless network as well as provisioning the fiber optic network. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience administering Aruba and Cisco network devices, TCP/IP, Active Directory, EIGRP, HSRP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, QOS, RADIUS, NPS, Wireless, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA VPN, Network Monitoring Software, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
The desired candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, computer science or other related field. Equivalent experience and certification accepted.
