We are currently seeking a System Safety Engineer to support our Newport, Rhode Island. The Safety Engineer will work with Code 40 missile and weapons launch system engineers to analyze systems with respect to the safe design, development, operation, and demilitarization. Develop system safety documentation. They will develop presentation materials and present analysis to review boards. They will also assist with existing safety programs with research, evaluation of known safety problems, assessment of requirements, and review of test documentation.
Required Experience: Existing Department of Defense Safety Engineering experience preferred
Required Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline preferred
Desired Experience: US Naval operational experience desired but not required. Knowledge of Military Standard 882 desired but not required
DOD Security Clearance required
