We seek a Software Engineer for the Ford Credit Account Servicing Portfolio to support current Mainframe applications.

What you’ll be able to do:
Develop software with a paired partner to deliver user stories that contribute to a valuable working software product - ability to operate as the lead partner.
Develop automated unit tests with working software to confirm software functionality conformance to functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop automated functional tests to confirm user story acceptance and to detect regression defects.
Review continuous integration build status and fixes build failures.
Improve continuous integration tooling by automating manual processes within the delivery pipeline and improving quality gates based on past findings.
Review ongoing production software operations and fixes production issues.
Implement tooling that monitors application performance metrics and automatically notifies team when a failure occurs in production.
Active participant in all team agile ceremonies.
Interact with business customers to resolve support issues and gather business requirements
Complete analysis & development of support tasks with quick implementation and resolution
Code, test and implement application components in Java, web services and Java related technologies
Develop in all tiers of application software: frontend, mobile, back-end and database

The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
5 + years of experience with Cobol/JCL/ mainframe utilities
3 + years of experience in DB2 and SQL products
1 + year of paired programming and end to end testing

Our preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in all components of software delivery
Java development experience building micro service using Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
Ability to delivery product roadmap milestones
Usage of Endevor code repository
Provide Agile artifacts associated with application components
Have advanced knowledge of software design patterns and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented) with willingness to continuously learn
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as a member of a team
