Perform the following tasks and duties: Project Management to include leading of field investigations; review of lab testing of soils and materials for estimation of the adequacy and strength of building foundations, retaining structures, bridges, and culverts; slope stability analysis; evaluation of project feasibility through estimates of the quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor; analysis of survey reports, maps, drawings and other topographical and geological data; engineering evaluation of load and grade requirements; planning and design of transportation systems and structures in accordance with construction and government standards; preparation of proposals based on detailed technical assessment and determination of the projects’ scope and price; preparation of geotechnical reports.
BS or MS (preferred) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience with expansive soils, soft soils, shallow and deep foundations, design of retaining walls, soil laboratory testing and field experience related to earthwork activities.
