The person in this position will work on project teams involving civil engineering and related technical assignments. Project assignments may include design and analysis, civil engineering design with CADD modeling software, preparation of construction plans and specifications, and spreadsheet preparation. Project responsibilities may involve pumping and piping system design, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, general civil design, soil and water sampling, writing reports, assistance with large report production, construction cost estimating, construction observation, and facility inspections. The work may at times involve periodic out-of-town assignments.

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geotechnical or Geological Engineering degree
0 to 2 years of related work experience
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Flexible working style, self-initiative, self-motivation, and a willingness to work with teams to meet clients' needs and project schedules
Conscientiousness concerning the accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of results
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
Acceptable driving record
Ability to perform out-of-town assignments when requested
M.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree
Familiarity with Civil 3D or other CADD-based civil design software
Familiarity with soil testing procedures and evaluation of test results
Familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certified, or ability to obtain within one year
NOTE: Applicants must be able to work in locations that feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and to enter and work within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Job assignments may involve work on mining sites, industrial and manufacturing sites, waste disposal sites and sites requiring cleanup of hazardous materials. An OSHA-mandated physical exam may be required; safety training will be provided.
