Water/Wastewater Sr. Engineer
This position is responsible for assessment, planning, design and construction phases of processed water and wastewater projects. In addition, this position is the technical lead for multi-disciplinary teams to undertake processed water and wastewater treatment and projects.
What you will do:
Direct and manage the implementation of the project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones.
Prepare technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications. Manage project deliverable, budgets, schedules. Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures, state and local codes and regulations.
Oversee and manage construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget. Project manager has the responsibility of the project work to be completed in accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems.
Assist with the preparation of proposals and qualification documents in the interest of obtaining new technologies, processes and procedures.
Produce design plans, specifications and reports in support of processed water needs, municipal water / wastewater infrastructure projects such as treatment plants, pump stations, storage facilities, and transmission / distribution facilities
Assist in local and regional pursuits including technical approach, and prepositioning activities.
Support domestic and international and manufacturing operations
What you must have:
Bachelor of Science degree in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical or agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Minimum 6+ years’ experience relevant to municipal or private sector water / wastewater as project manager or engineer. Experience requirements includes water distribution & storage, supply engineering systems design, wastewater collections and pump station engineering designs.
Professional Engineer or the ability to receive same within 6 months a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
Demonstrated capabilities of interaction and influence with municipality and governmental agencies
Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
PMP certification is preferred
Ability to travel up to 50%
