Supports all phases of tooling and service for delivery of Reactor Vessel and Internals Segmentation. The tooling and service may change over time to support other opportunities for decommissioning.
Knowledgeable in the area of Mechanical Engineering and/or Field Tooling Design.
Knowledgeable in codes required for supporting equipment design, ASME and Rigging and Lifting
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, managers, and peers.
Support and then eventual lead the technical team in creating cost effective technical solutions for the Americas Decommissioning Business, initial focus will be on Reactor Vessel and Internals Segmentation
Design, qualification and testing, and delivery of innovation products for the Decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Initial focus will be on designing tooling to segment and package Reactor Vessel Internals and Vessel.
Document and share technical data to promote learning and open dialogue among team members including procedures, drawings, and schematics generation.
Identify, define and direct approach for successful resolution of technical and operational issues.
Provide appropriate internal/external personnel with periodic updates and recommendations regarding nature and status of work.
Identify and support improvement opportunities and present recommendations to management.
Interface/Manage vendors to obtain quotes and then ensure they are meeting cost, schedule, quality and functional requirements of procurement of engineered tooling.
Develop new or improved products/services utilizing knowledge of economic studies and recent technical developments. Coordinate and/or prepare technical documents for products/services.
Instruct, train, and guide personnel on significant technical projects, tasks and activities.
Prepare technical procedures, drawings, and specifications for equipment testing, use, and maintenance according to schedule, budget, contract, and scope requirements
Apply engineering analytical skills to identify, analyze, and review operational problems of equipment or systems
This role can sit in many locations and possibly can be Remote role.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Minimum requirements are a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree
Two Year experience in Tooling Design and Fabrication
Manufacturing Engineering Experience Preferred
Proficient in Autocad and 3D Modeling
Travel up to 25%-50% to domestic and international customer locations for project implementation as well as to other Westinghouse and supplier facilities to support design, fabrication, testing, qualification and training as a part of the product and service life cycle.
Must be able to obtain unescorted access to Commercial and Government Nuclear Facilities
