ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring;
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid, CPR, and other training, as well as medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our employees to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
Fieldwork: Up to 70%
Overnight travel: Up to 30%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; geology, chemistry, or a related environmental science. (required)
Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; geology, chemistry, or a related environmental science. (preferred)
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable. (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical knowledge in geology, engineering, or other science related to soil, groundwater and/or air remediation. (required)
Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team. (required)
Strong oral communication and technical writing skills. (preferred)
Internship or Co-Op related to soil, groundwater, and/or air sampling, soil borings and monitoring well installation, surveying, construction oversight, or contamination assessments. (preferred)
Ability to work outside regularly and be able to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50‑100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
