ifm prover USA, a subsidiary of ifm electronic, is headquartered in Malvern, PA.
This position resides in the ifm prover USA Malvern, PA manufacturing facility, which designs and manufactures temperature and flow sensor products. This Mechanical Engineering Technician role is key to ifm electronic’s greater manufacturing success in the United States.
Assist Mechanical Engineers with new projects
Provide Computer-Aided CAD Design (CAD) support (create drawings and documentation packages) for the development of new electro-mechanical products (sensors)
Detail mechanical parts and produce part drawings for outside suppliers
Assist in creating PPAP documentation
Assist with the rapid prototyping of first functional samples
Coordinate prototype manufacturing
Assist/Lead all mechanical verification tests
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Drafting, or Mechatronics
Proficient in Solidworks
Strong understanding of mechanical principles
Knowledge of Blueprint reading and Geometry and Tolerance specifications
Experience working in a machine shop would be a plus with manual mills and lathes
Good organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple complex situations daily
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Self-driven and willing to acquire new skills to grow in the position
