Medline ReNewal is a single
use medical device (SUD) commercial reprocessor. We collect used SUDs
from healthcare facilities nationwide at our newly commissioned facility
in Redmond Oregon and remanufacture them to meet or exceed the performance

Our Controls Engineer will
work in a multidisciplinary team that specializes in providing unique solutions
for product development and production.
This position requires creativity to design, document, and implement
semi-automated equipment, electromechanical hardware, instrumentation, and develop
custom software to produce our products.
The result is a reprocessed SUD that provides the highest level of
patient care, reduces medical waste, and is sold for half the price of a new
device. Our engineers are eager problem solvers that use common sense with a
hands-on approach when providing solutions.
Here are some of the job duties:
and understand medical device functionality and user/test requirements.
and create detailed wire schematics for release as controlled documents.
and design electromechanical equipment for semi-automated product assembly
wire harness assemblies per schematics and route/install with hardware.
and qualify custom software solutions for production processing equipment.
and maintain existing production software/hardware solutions.
and write user and functional requirements for technological solutions
with input from Product Development and Manufacturing teams.
write, and execute protocols, test plans, and procedures to
qualify/validate technological solution systems.
and write standard operating procedures and conduct training related to
incoming inspection, in-line testing, and assembly with the medical device,
Product Development during device validation processing, testing, and
communicate cross-functionally and at all levels within the organization
in a clear and concise manner.
effective relationships with QA/QC and the Production staff.
in an Engineering discipline.
At least 2 years
writing, research paper writing, and/or experimental design experience.
knowledge and experience.
skill level in computer and systems use (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and
degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
experience working in manufacturing or design/development.
experience with PC based data acquisition and control, PLC programming,
National Instruments hardware.
experience programming in Visual Studio, Python, or other languages.
experience soldering, crimping, and wire harness fabrication.
experience reading and interpreting standards and guidance documents.
experience in a LEAN Manufacturing/Production environment, GMP and/or New Product
design experience in CAD.
