We’re seeking a self-motivated Windows programmer to help develop a variety of consumer software solutions. You’ll be on a small, independent development team as a part of the larger Other World Computing organization.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Helping to design and implement consumer software products, including Windows drivers, desktop applications, and cloud services.
Helping to design and implement internal software tools.
Research feasibility and prototype new product concepts.
Diagnose and repair problems in existing products.
Help with 3rd-tier technical support for existing products.
Help with documenting and estimating software products. May include writing internal documentation, flowcharts, and participating in providing internal training for new projects.
Evaluating new languages, tools and techniques to improve the software development process.
Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Practical experience creating, debugging, and testing Windows applications in C#.
Experience with C++, SQL, iOS or Android development a plus but not required.
Experience with low-level operating system concepts a plus but not required.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a broadly-accessibly manner.
Ability to work independently on a clearly defined task or project.
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred, but not required: Passionate, experienced candidates will be considered regardless of education.
We’re also giving extra points to candidates with mobile app experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
