About Our Client
Our client is building software to handle transportation of containers from the ports to the first warehouses by truck - also called first mile delivery. They are bringing the Freight Tech revolution.
Our client was founded by two female entrepreneurs, graduated from Y Combinator (2018 batch), and has raised a 4 million seed round. They are at the beginning of an exciting growth phase where they have already developed product-market fit, a working platform, and hundreds of daily active users.
Current Tech
Technical Stack: Python/Django (Backend), React/JS (Frontend), AWS Services (Lambda, RDS, S3), PostgreSQL (Database), CircleCI, and other continuous integration tools
Technical Team: 4 (objective: x2 in one year)
Location: Los Angeles - must be willing to relocate
About the Role
In addition to the following technical skills, our client is looking for PROBLEM SOLVERS with an entrepreneurial mindset. As one of the early engineers, you will be responsible for setting up the overall architecture, team culture and in general a big influence on the tech direction. Our client's motto is freedom with responsibility. As an engineer you should be able to lead features, build robust software and think end to end about distributed systems.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience(s) building full-stack applications (in a professional context)
Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS
Very comfortable with Postgres or other relational database
Experience in data sourcing technologies (external APIs, web-scraping, EDI files, etc.) and building data management platforms
Autonomous in your work, proactive while working with cross-functional team to build creative solutions
Preferably with prior experience in a high-velocity startup environment
Either living in Los Angeles or willing to relocate to LA

Base Salary Range: $110,000 to $160,000
