Our plant and network reach currently extends from Seattle to San Francisco and we provide fiber optic delivered gigabit+ internet and phone services to government entities, businesses, schools, health care and residential clients as well as fiber optic transport and many other services. We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer that will “own” our MPLS core/transport networks and also play a leading role in major distribution network market builds spanning multiple, often cutting-edge delivery technologies including Active-E, XGSPON FTTH and Docsis 3.1 HFC.

Required Skills:
· Networking:
-Troubleshooting networks at OSI levels 1-7
-Command-line configuration of switches, routers, firewalls
-Network routing protocols – OSPF, ISIS, BGP
-Experience with MPLS, L2VPNs and L3VPNs
-Network troubleshooting - tcpdump, nmap, wireshark, etc
-Design network systems and processes
-Work with Network Engineers to support core.
-Provide leadership in the NOC group.
-Manage projects
Bonus Skills:
-ERPS (G.8032) networks
-DWDM/ROADM networks
-Familiarity with VMware, Proxmox
-Design tools and processes to aid in support.
· Computer:
-Will use Linux/Windows OSs
-Must be familiar with servers DNS / DHCP / Web / NTP
· Customer Service:
-Design and maintain customer networks
-Troubleshoot customer problems and resolve or escalate
-Work with customers on network configuration changes
-Tier 3 NOC support.
· Management:
-Maintain and design troubleshooting procedures for Tier 2
-See projects delegated by Network Ops manager to completion
-Schedule outages and coordinate maintenance windows
