Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

We are currently seeking talented individuals for an Associate Propulsion Engineer for our Product Design Engineering area.

The Associate Propulsion Engineer will perform design of structural components and functional systems of company products. Generally work under supervision from higher graded engineers. Analyze requirements for materials, structural component, or functional systems. Release results as design data after review by higher graded engineer. Evaluate completed design with supervisor and other technical groups and make modification necessary to achieve the most ideal design.

Job Responsibilities

Performs design of structural components and functional systems.

Makes thoughtful and valuable suggestions and recommendations for improving own work and/or group's work.

Establish requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systems.

Release results as design data after review from other engineers.

Document results of design activities.

Basic Qualifications:
Enrolled in or having received an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or related degree
Possess an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum overall GPA of 3.25 or higher
Prior internship or research experience in related field
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
