R&R is growing and has a need to expand its staff with a Civil Design Engineer. Candidate will possess a strong land development background and firm understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Our extensive range of experience includes residential, commercial, large mixed use, energy, hospitality, healthcare, education, municipal, and international projects.
The Civil Design Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and other team members to prepare base drawings, implement project design using Civil 3D and prepare civil construction plans for land development projects.
Perform engineering calculations for land development projects
Prepare construction plans, site plans, utility networks, grading and surfaces
Communicate with team members and interface with clients
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
EIT (with a desire to sit for the PE)
Minimum 2 years of Land Development experience (commercial experience preferred)
Minimum 2 years of grading experience
General knowledge of plan requirements and details necessary for construction plan submittals to local agencies for permitting and approvals
Working knowledge of disciplines involving site development including coordination with civil engineering team, landscaping team and architectural team
Experience working with local agencies to gain project approvals
Works well with managing time on projects with little supervision on smaller projects
Exercise independent judgement on completing work
Enjoy working in a team environment setting
Minimum of 2 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, plan setup and organization, routine civil design process and calculations
Aptitude to learn new tasks and work toward organizational goals
