Seeking candidates to fill the position of F-35 Pilot Flight Equipment Field Engineer for the F 35 Global Sustainment Training Team.
Primary duties are as a hands-on equipment maintenance technician for F-35 PFE. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with PFE, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and takes actions to establish product trouble solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical familiarizations and product briefings with customers, vendors and company representatives.
The Pilot Flight Equipment Tech will provide direct support to the team functioning in F-35 PFE technical support roles at field sustainment operations NAS Fallon, NV.
Additionally, candidate selected for this role will be expected to become familiarized with F-35 PFE product line, current operational processes and procedures for field operations sites as well as PFE sustainment operations with the PFE/SE integrated product team in Ft. Worth TX. Must be able and willing to adapt to the constantly changing operational characteristics of the F-35 PFE/SE Sustainment operation as program needs mature over time. Work location for this position will be Naval Air Station NAS Fallon, NV. Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements, to include possibility of weekend work requirements. Travel for this position may be required up to 10% of the year.
Background in military or civilian Pilot Flight Equipment sustainment operations.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
Experience using engineering drawings and technical data (JTD).
Familiar with work conditions on military flight line environments.
Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices.
Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.
Candidate must have a Secret security clearance, active within the past two years, or have the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance prior to first start date, obtaining final Secret clearance within 1 year of hire date. Failure to obtain final Secret clearance within 1 year may result in termination of employment.
Military flight-line ALSS / PFE / AFE / PR maintenance experience; Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals;
Experience with military standard maintenance practices.

PFE data management experience;
This occupation includes functions involved in disassembling, repairing, troubleshooting, examining, modifying, maintaining, installing, and determining serviceability of aircraft survival and flight equipment such as protective garments devices, oxygen masks, and anti-G-suits. Duties include operational and circuit checks of emergency signaling and communication devices such as survival radios and beacons. Position requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance procedures, pyrotechnic/explosive devices, and aircraft egress systems. Additionally, position requires familiarity with aircraft assigned to unit, detailed knowledge of the operation and characteristics of aircraft survival and flight equipment, and the ability to demonstrate and explain proper usage and operation of the equipment
