Develop & support Maintenance Reliability Engineers Network/ enhance & roll out good practices/preventative & predictive maintenance across Division along with the implementation of SAP PM. This position will require 60-80% travel.
Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure good practices for all areas that preserve our assets functionality, reliability and integrity are developed and embedded within each site to deliver quicker on time in full, consistent qualitative and stronger products. Transfer Technical knowledge and support development of the organization, methods & tools towards more proactive (condition based) maintenance approach.
Work with sites Maintenance Departments leads and Reliability Engineers in the roll out of these practices to prioritize maintenance work and improve reliability of our assets. Support complex troubleshooting and benchmark asset performance while developing the organization root cause analysis capabilities.
Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
Collaborate with Corrugator & Converting Improvement Leads to create systems & plans to ensure that the proper calibrations, crew care and maintenance programmes are standardized and implemented on our critical assets.
Ensure we maximize the operational efficiency of our equipment through the development of an effective TPM programme, empowering our crews to maintain their equipment effectively by deploying the DS Smith Asset Care Excellence Programme (ACE).
MMS & Master Data Management
Support the roll out of SAP PM across the division
Custodian of the governance of changes to PM master data (through appropriate methods, standards and organization).
Develop the ‘Reliability Engineer’ function at site level responsible using analytical and KPI reports for analyzing faults and adjusting maintenance schedules, plant baselining, machine comparisons, to improve plants reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM).
Lead proposal & management of PM System (CMMS) upgrade & improvements.
Lead deployment of common spares numbering system & standard spare parts management best practices with the view to optimize inventory and Working Capital while working with procurement to reduce the cost of spare parts and ensuring sensible asset availability.
CAPEX & R&D
Support the development of future assets & greenfields through technology insights about reliability & efficiency with the Engineering Team. Assist developing Asset Investment strategies & plans based on asset criticality.
Education & Certifications
Master degree (preferable engineering, technology, process) or equivalent via experience.
H&S (IOSH Managing Safely)
Job Specific Technical Requirements
Corrugator or Converting Manufacturing Processes experience
Advocate for lean principles, proven lean transformation experience/ experience in lean change management &TPM Implementation
Passion for continuous improvement and strong will to deliver results
Analytical and conceptual skills
Minimum 5 years in a position in a corrugated manufacturing environment (Engineering/Maintenance)
Ability to work in/with/between various cultures
Proven experience in project management, project management skills
Good communication skills, able to work in a systematic and rigorous way
Works collaboratively with others. Inspires to a common purpose.
Strong leadership and coaching skills with the proven ability to set a vision, manage change, strategically plan for continuous improvement and the ability to influence people at all levels within the organization
Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
