Description:
Create and edit CNC programs to support the machining of complex, precision metal
components on multi-axis CNC milling machines and multi-tasking machining centers
Identify and select appropriate tooling for job specific applications based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability
Work within a cross functional team comprised of programmers, machinists, gunsmiths, and management to support program schedules and performance goals, mitigate manufacturing risks, and optimize efficiency
Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED equivalent
(5+) years experience in a machine shop environment
(3+) years experience in a CNC Programming Role
Ability to read, interpret, and understand manufacturing detailed drawings and process plans
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD and T)
Ability to read/edit and create CNC programs
Demonstrated proficiency using CAD/CAM software to support the machining of precision components (SolidWorks, Mastercam and/or Esprit)
Detail oriented, strong communication skills
