The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be part of a team focused on building automations for network engineering and operations functions. The candidate will be familiar and comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment where priorities frequently change to meet business demand. Candidate will also be required to provide incident support for the automation platform on a rotational on-call basis.
Network Automation will bring new efficiencies to Freddie Mac IT Engineering and Operations by mechanizing manual routine functions and by providing new programmatic interfaces (APIs) to applications teams for consumption of various network services.
The candidate will bring Site Reliability and DevOps experience and apply it to the Network Automation ecosystem. The candidate will participate on an on-call rotation helping the team and the business move at a faster pace with increasingly more sophisticated automations.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Advanced experience in Ansible configuration management, writing playbooks, etc.
Build automations for day-to-day networking operations
Experience in AWS, GCP, VMware and other public cloud infrastructure
Should be experienced in developing CI/CD jobs and pipelines using standard tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, etc.
Build Rest API services using Python, Flask, Django, etc.
Experience in writing Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform
Experience in NoSQL databases
Experience in writing cloud functions in a public cloud environment
