The primary responsibility of this position is programming, estimating and monitoring the design and construction phase, performing plan check and providing the only technical plan check for projects with values less than $2 million and providing construction inspection and management and contract administration of new or renovation capital improvement projects. Projects will vary in scope related to engineering inclusive of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in nature or focus. Also, performing the duties to assist with monitoring the sustainability program, monitoring the BAS, and prepare required energy reports is a responsibility of the position.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering and minimum four-six years of related experience in mechanical project engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices and theories of engineering for mechanical, electrical and plumbing is required. Advanced knowledge of the installation, operation, and maintenance of site and building systems, and of the codes, laws, and ordinances pertaining to these systems.
